This recipe is from Elk Creek Lodge in Meeker, CO. It is delicious served alone with milk, or mixed with other cereals, or over oatmeal.. Also delicious served with yogurt and fruit.

3 cold fashioned oats

1/2 csliced almonds

1/2 cchopped pecans

1/2 cwheat germ

1/2 cpecan halves

1/2 cmaple syrup

1/3 ccanola oil

1/2 tspvanilla extract

1/2 tspground cinnamon

1/2 tspsalt
-
1/2 cdried cherries
-
1/2 cchopped dried apricots

1/2 cgolden raisins
How To Make maple pecan crunch granola

1In large bowl, toss oats, almonds, pecans (both chopped and halves) and wheat germ.

2Whisk oil, maple syrup, canola oil, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over oat mixture, and toss to coat well. Spread onto jelly roll pan, and put into preheated 350 oven for 5-7 minutes. Stir well and return to oven for another 5-10 minutes, or until toasted golden.

3Remove from oven. Add cherries, apricots, and raisins. Toss together. Cool. Put into ziplock bags, or air tight container
