How To Make honey baked ham
-
1Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Remove the skin and most of the excess fat. Leave a layer of fat, though, to render while the ham bakes.
-
2Score ham in a diamond pattern. This looks nice but also allows the fat to render while cooking.
-
3Place scored ham in a roasting pan.
-
4Bake for 20 minutes per pound until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
-
5While the ham is baking, make the glaze. Mix remaining ingredients together.
-
6During the last 45 minutes of cooking time, spread the glaze over the ham.
-
7Remove ham from the oven and let rest.
-
8Slice into thin slices.
