If you love chocolate and Oreos you will love these cupcakes!! Back in 2010, my oldest son and I saw something on TV about an Oreo cupcake that had an Oreo dropped on the bottom of the cupcake. So we went to make our own Oreo cupcake. Being 8 and a little boy he thought it would be the coolest thing ever if we used the entire package of Oreos for one recipe... and the Death by Oreo Cupcake was born. This was my signature dessert for many years. I love watching people's faces when they have never tried these and find so much yumminess in one cupcake.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

As the name implies, these chocolate cupcakes are to die for. At first glance, they look like a yummy cupcake with a cookies and cream type icing. It's when you take the first bite you're amazed. Big chunks of Oreos are in every bite. A whole Oreo cookie at the bottom of the cupcake is a bonus. The cream cheese frosting is brought to a whole new level with finely chopped Oreos incorporated into the creamy frosting. Super easy to make these cupcakes may become your signature party dessert!
